What is OTT Navigator?

OTT Navigator is an Android IPTV player. It provides the interface for organizing and playing content from a playlist or supported provider connection; it does not supply the IPTV service itself.

The current Google Play listing describes support for M3U/M3U8 playlists, Xtream Codes, live TV, movies and series through Xtream sources, EPG, favorites, categories, search, subtitles, HLS and DASH. Features and compatibility can change with app releases, so current device and app behavior should be checked against the official listing when a version-specific detail matters.

How OTT Navigator works

Most setup problems become easier to diagnose when the different layers are kept separate. OTT Navigator is the player layer; your source supplies the playlist or credentials; EPG supplies programme metadata; and the provider/source ultimately has to deliver a playable stream.

These are common IPTV terms, but they are not interchangeable labels. An M3U/M3U8 playlist is a playlist document or URL containing channel entries and metadata. An Xtream-style setup normally uses provider connection details such as a server address, username, and password.

EPG is a separate layer

Electronic Programme Guide data describes programmes and schedules; it is not the video stream. That means channels can play normally while the EPG is empty, incomplete, or incorrectly mapped.

A useful EPG diagnosis asks three questions: did the EPG source load, does it contain the expected channel, and can its channel identifier or name be matched to the playlist entry?
